Cooptown is possibly the oldest village in Harford County Election District 4 Precinct 2, aka Jarrettsville.​

On The Road From Jarrettsville Vol. 2 is focused on the village of Cooptown, with a smattering of nearby Sharon and Chrome Hill. Again the work is largely news account and land record based and provides numerous details undocumented in previous histories.
